To prepare for countless hours in the garden, here's a great checklist:
- Check shrubs and woody plants and prune if necessary.
- Early Spring is the best time to move perennials. Take stock and make notes.
- Organize your shed!
- Clean and sterilize anything you will be using this spring/summer. (Sterilize using one part bleach, ten parts water). Perform on terracotta pots, planters, and starter trays. Rinse thoroughly, then dry.

Can you hear the Jingle-Jingle-Jingle? It's getting louder!
That's right; it's almost December. Which means you've probably passed at least one house on your way to work or the grocery store that is decked out in Christmas decorations....already! Santa's sled suspended from a tree, inflated snowmen, nutcrackers, reindeers running every direction. You get the idea, you've seen it.
As Black Friday approaches, followed by a month-long "mall madness", we at Celtic Farms are getting ready to receive our deliveries of Christmas trees, wreaths, garland, Holiday balls, and everything else you can imagine! So whether you get your tree immediately after Thanksgiving or the day before Christmas, we're here for you. And don't forget to stop in at Celtic Aer next door (my daughter's new gift shop). She's promised hot chocolate on cold nights to warm everyone up!
